Half-day safari tour (4 hours)
Discover Huahine Island with our experienced and friendly guides who will lead you all around the big and small island to share their knowledge and love of Huahine.
“Huahine Land” offers an eco safari tour to admire the wild landscapes:
– the mountains, the villages, the lagoon, the beaches etc…
You will be pleasantly surprised by the diversity and beauty of the tropical flora:
– agricultural plantations, vanilla house, fruits, endemic or medicinal plants, etc…
You will stop at archaeological sites: ancient temples, fish traps.
In the village of Faite, you will meet the sacred blue-eyed eels and for the bravest you will be able to touch and feed them.
You will visit the only pearl farm on the island, where the secrets of the black pearl and the pottery of Peter OWEN and Manutea OWEN will be revealed to you. His pottery is made with enamel from the bottom of the lagoon that he found while pearl farming, giving a unique color to his creations that you can also see in the Maitai Lapita Village hotel boutique.

Full-day safari tour (8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.)
Once the half-day activities offered are finished, the tour continues with a lunch break in a restaurant on the island or with a snack. Lunch is at your expense and the guide awaits you for your full-day safari tour.
You will do the following activities:
– Hike on the hill of Matairea in the village of Maeva: you will walk through a tropical forest and on the historical route of the island; then you will arrive on a plateau which offers a breathtaking panoramic view.
– Visit to the “fare potee”: former exhibition house of archaeological objects in Huahine
– Visits to local artists of painting, pareo and craft products
– Sea and sun baths
– Visit to the archaeological sites and panoramic sites of the small island of Huahine.
